This policy explains what information SameDayPlumber.net ("Same Day Plumber", "we", "us") collects when you visit this website or call a phone number shown on it, how we use that information, and who receives it. Same Day Plumber is a referral service. We connect callers with independent plumbing companies and do not perform plumbing work ourselves.
Information collected when you call
When you call a number on this site, the following may be collected by us, by the call tracking and call routing providers we use, and by the plumbing company or call network your call is connected to:
- Your phone number, and the date, time and length of the call.
- The page or city number you called from, which is how calls are routed to a plumber in the right area.
- What you say on the call, such as your name, address and a description of the problem.
- A recording of the call. Calls may be recorded or monitored for quality, record keeping and billing between us and the companies that receive calls.
If you do not want a call recorded, say so at the start of the call or do not use the number.
Information collected when you visit the website
The site has no accounts and no contact forms, and we do not ask you to enter personal details on it. The city search box works in your browser and is not stored. Like most websites, the site and the services it uses may automatically collect:
- Your IP address, browser type, device type and approximate location derived from your IP address.
- The pages you view, the time of your visit and the site that referred you.
- Whether you tapped or clicked a call button, and on which page.
How we use information
- To connect your call to a plumbing company that serves your area.
- To measure and improve the website and its content.
- To keep records of calls for billing with the companies and call networks that pay us.
- To detect spam, fraud and misuse.
- To meet legal obligations.
Who receives your information
- Plumbing companies and call networks. When you call, your phone number and what you tell the person who answers go to the independent plumbing company or call network that takes the call. They handle that information under their own privacy policies, and may contact you about your request.
- Service providers that host the website, provide call tracking and routing, or provide analytics.
- Authorities or other parties when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
We are paid by plumbing companies and call networks when we refer calls to them. Under some state privacy laws, passing your call and its details to them in return for payment may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell lists of callers to unrelated marketers.
How long information is kept
We keep call records and analytics data for as long as they are needed for the purposes above, including billing and record keeping, and then delete or anonymize them. Plumbing companies and call networks keep their own records under their own policies.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. To make a request, email us at the address on our contact page and include the phone number you called from so we can find your record. We will not treat you differently for making a request. For information held by the plumbing company you spoke with, contact that company directly.
Children
This website is intended for adults who need plumbing service. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes.
